Positioning by Pixels

To change the position of an element on the canvas, you can either drag and drop the element or use the Element Position option in the Size & Position panel.

The Element Position is measured from the top left corner of the bounding box of your element, relative to the top left corner of the canvas. Adjusting the X option will allow you to make changes to the pixel location of your element horizontally, while the Y slider will allow you to do this vertically.

Off Canvas Element Positioning

When positioning the elements in your design, you can position elements off the canvas. While elements positioned off canvas are visible in the editor when you preview or export the design, the portions of elements outside the canvas won’t be visible.

You can scroll vertically or horizontally to make it easier to see the areas you’re working in that are off the canvas. To re-center the canvas, you can press the ‘Center Canvas’ button on the bottom-right corner of the editor.

Aligning Elements to the Canvas

To align an element with your canvas, select the element and open the Size & Position panel on the left-hand side of the Editor.

Scroll down in the Size & Position panel to the Element Position options. You can tap the Alignment options to align the selected element to the top, bottom, right, or left of the canvas. You can also center the element vertically or horizontally.

If you plan to use your selected image as a background, you can also use the Snap to All Edges option in the Canvas options. Selecting Snap to All Edges expands the bounding box for the element to completely fill the canvas. If the element is an image, it will also set the Element Crop option to Fill.

Changing the alignment of an element in your design will only affect the size that you are currently working in.

Aligning Multiple Elements

To select multiple elements at once, hold ‘Ctrl’ (or ‘Cmd’ on Mac) while tapping on the elements either on the canvas or in the Layers panel.

After you’ve selected all of the elements, open the Size & Position panel on the left-hand side of the editor. In the Size & Position panel, you will have options to either Align to Group or Align to Canvas. Choosing to Align to Group will align all of the objects with respect to one another. Choosing Align to Canvas will align them with respect to the edges of the canvas.

You will also have the option to Snap to All Edges, which will expand the bounding boxes of every image so that they are anchored to all edges of the canvas and set the images to Fill their bounding boxes.
